Red White Blue Dirt Cups – Easy Patriotic Treat

Celebrate patriotism with these delightful Red, White, and Blue Dirt Cups! This easy-to-make dessert is perfect for Memorial Day, 4th of July, or any summer gathering. Kids and adults alike will love the fun layers and delicious flavors of this festive treat.

Ingredients

• 1 (14.3 oz) package OREO cookies, finely crushed
• 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
• 2 cups cold milk
• 1 (8 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed (like Cool Whip)
• 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
• 1 cup fresh blueberries
• Optional: Red, white, and blue sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes, or until thickened. Let stand for 5 minutes.
2. Gently fold in half of the thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture until well combined.
3. Divide the crushed OREO cookies evenly among 6-8 individual clear cups or jars, creating the “dirt” base. Reserve a small amount of crushed cookies for topping, if desired.
4. Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the vanilla pudding mixture over the OREO crumbs in each cup.
5. Layer about 2 tablespoons of diced strawberries over the pudding in each cup.
6. Add another layer of pudding mixture (2-3 tablespoons) on top of the strawberries.
7. Layer about 2 tablespoons of fresh blueberries over the second pudding layer in each cup.
8. Top each cup with a generous dollop of the remaining whipped topping.
9. Garnish with a sprinkle of reserved OREO crumbs and red, white, and blue sprinkles, if desired.
10. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving for best results.
