Ingredients
- 12 sugar or waffle cones
- 1 cup chocolate melting wafers or chocolate chips (milk, dark, or white)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
- 2-3 cups mixed fresh fruit, chopped (e.g., strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, banana slices, kiwi cubes, melon balls)
- Optional toppings: sprinkles, chopped nuts, shredded coconut
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate melting wafers (or chips) and coconut oil (if using). Microwave on medium heat in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted. Alternatively, melt chocolate in a double boiler.
- Dip the rim of each sugar or waffle cone into the melted chocolate, rotating to coat evenly. If desired, immediately sprinkle with your chosen toppings like sprinkles or chopped nuts.
- Place the dipped cones upright in a cone holder or carefully on the prepared baking sheet (you might need to support them if they don’t stand easily) and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
- While the chocolate is setting, wash and chop your chosen fresh fruits into bite-sized pieces.
- Once the chocolate on the cones is firm, fill each cone generously with the prepared fresh fruit.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Chocolate Dipped Fruit Cones!
