Easy Cinnamon Apple Bread Recipe- Fall Baking

As autumn leaves begin to fall and a crisp chill fills the air, there’s nothing quite like the comforting aroma of freshly baked goods filling your home. This Easy Cinnamon Apple Bread is the quintessential fall treat, blending warm spices with tender apples in a moist, delightful loaf. It’s incredibly simple to make, perfect for breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (plus more for topping, optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted (or ½ cup vegetable oil)
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • ½ cup milk (any kind)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups peeled, cored, and finely diced apples (about 2 medium apples, like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • For optional cinnamon sugar topping: 1 tablespoon granulated sugar + ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan, or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using). Set aside.
  3. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter (or oil), granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined and smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir with a spatula until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  5. Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. If desired, sprinkle the optional cinnamon sugar topping over the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer or toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before carefully removing it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
