Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great!)
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn blend)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (7.5 ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough (10 small biscuits)
- Optional: 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8×8 or 9×9 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, condensed cream of chicken soup, milk, frozen mixed vegetables, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Open the can of biscuits. Separate the biscuits and arrange them on top of the chicken mixture. You can leave them whole or tear them into smaller “dumpling” pieces.
- If using, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the biscuits.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through, and the filling is bubbly.
- Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
